Andrew Fenton, MD, FACEP, began at Queen of the Valley Medical Center in 2007. He currently serves on the Medical Staff Executive Committee as the immediate past Chief of the Medical Staff and is a former member of the Board of Trustees. He previously was the Chair of the Department of Emergency/Family Medicine, Credentials Committee Chair, and Medical Director of the Emergency Department. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Queen of the Valley Foundation focused on fundraising. Dr. Fenton has been active in organized medicine and was the President of the California Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians representing over 3,000 emergency physicians in the state. He recently received the "Walter T. Edwards Award," the Chapter's highest honor, given to a leader who distinguished themselves as demonstrating the highest commitment to emergency medicine. After graduating with honors from George Washington University School of Medicine, he completed his residency at UC Davis Medical Center, a Level 1 trauma center. Dr. Fenton then completed a fellowship in Health Policy & Legislative Advocacy and remains active in shaping health care reforms at the national, state and local level. He is originally from Northern California and his family moved to Sonoma in 2008. He enjoys spending time with his wife, 15-year-old daughter, and his 11-year-old twin sons exploring the beautiful hills and valleys of the area.
